The Scottish Terrier Club of Greater New York will be holding its first ever A Match Agility trial on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at The Field-house Agility Center located at Carriage Stone Farm LLC, 15 Augur Rd in Northford CT 06472. The A Match will take place immediately following the regular agility trial that day.

This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebreed Alternative Listing /Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP), or AKC Canine Partners listing number, approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds are eligible to participate. What is an A Match?
According to the AKC, “Match Shows provide people who are new to, or interested in getting involved in, Conformation, Obedience, Rally or Agility events (depending upon the club). These Events are often used as practice for puppies and their owners, providing guidance and feedback from seasoned handlers, judges or fellow newbies. Match Shows are as enjoyable to watch as they are to participate in! If you are a first time participant you could easily come and observe with or without your dog. If you are coming to participate then you may need your dog’s registration information to enter.”
