On June 7, 2025, a bunch of STCGNY members and their Scotties had a blast at Stonehedge Dog Sports in Andover NJ where they received an introduction to Barn Hunt, a dog sport where one dog at a time enters an enclosed space filled with stacks of hay or straw bales and then hustles around trying to find rats sheltered in protective but aromatic containers. There are tunnels and bridges and rising steps of bales through which the dogs must navigate. The session is timed and the fastest rat -finder wins. Club members' dogs were given opportunity to try out something new and fun: Adventure Quest. This event was organized by Penny Holenstein, who also generously provided lunch for the STCGNY entourage.
