STCGNY President Amy Pelle recently announced that she has begun preparation for Meet the Breeds 2020.\u00a0 A few things are very different this year. The event is now 2 days, and it will be held at the Javits Center in New York City on Saturday and Sunday, January 25 & Sunday January 26, 2020, almost two weeks before Westminster.<\/p>\n

\u201cSTCGNY has always been a great presence at Meet the Breeds because of our beloved breed and our booth ambassadors who are so wonderful with the public,\u201d Amy wrote in a letter to the members. \u201cBut this year, we need more volunteers and dogs than ever because it is two days, not one. In the past this was not generally an issue because\u00a0 MTB was held the Saturday before Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.\"<\/p>\n

Our booth needs to be tended from approximately 9am-5pm each day, \u00a0Amy thinks it would be best if each day we had at least four club members .Both days we will need at least four dogs also. The Club's experience has been that the time these very well behaved Scotties spent on exhibit with visitors was exhausting for them; they could have used more rest. That rest time also gives the owners time to get a bite to eat and sit for a bit.<\/p>\n

If you are able to volunteer and bring a dog, fantastic!\u00a0 If some of you have dogs that would not be relaxed in this type of setting but YOU can attend, wonderful!<\/p>\n

Please let Amy know by email what day you can help out and whether or not you can bring a Scottie with you.<\/p>\n
